Experienced print sector professional Alan Thomas has joined our Gardiner Colours team. With 40 years’ experience within the print industry, Alan spent eight years with Varn Products where he was involved in R&D and press chemicals, going on to work for American firm Anchor (later acquired by Fuji Hunt). Alan was also with Ultrachem for 20 years, working as factory and technical manager with varied responsibilities including production, product development, R&D, technical and sales support, and health and safety. James Gardiner, the son of founder Ray Gardiner, has acquired 100% of the business for an undisclosed six-figure sum, returning to the firm after five years working as an independent sales consultant in the print sector.
